Before You Upload...

All file submissions are welcome and encouraged, and we endeavour to host all submitted files. However, due to the fact that server space and bandwidth are not free, and the voluntary nature of the service, we ask that you stick to the following guidelines:

• Please take the time to ensure you have a properly working version before sending any file. In particular, custom missions should always be beta tested by at least one other person before release. Demos do not have to be beta tested, although it is still recommended.
  
  Ask in the DF-21 Forums if you need testers or advice.

• Reduce the size of files and submit them in .ZIP format if possible. In particular, remove all unnecessary components from .GOB files (i.e., remove any WAXes, VOCs, etc. that do not appear in your level from your project directory before GOBbing).

• Include a text file which states your name and email address (and the names of any co-authors and beta testers) and clearly explains what you are uploading, with any relevant instructions. Credit must be given to any authors whose work you have made use of or modified.
  
  If you are not the author of the file you are uploading, please make sure it is not already on DF-21.

If you upload a file without following these guidelines, it will not be posted and you will be asked to make the necessary changes before resubmitting.

Disclaimer

By uploading a file to DF-21, you are agreeing that it can be made freely available on the site to anyone who wishes to download it. All copyrights and legal responsibilties for files on DF-21 remain with the author(s) of those files. Authors can request the removal of their work from DF-21 at any time. When a newer version of a file is submitted, the old version may be deleted from DF-21.

We reserve the right to reject or remove files as we see fit. Files are scanned for viruses on submission and also checked for illegal or otherwise unsuitable content. If your file cannot be hosted or is going to be removed, you will be notified immediately of the reason by email.

Once you've uploaded, please notify us of what you uploaded (and specifically, what you want us to do with it). You can do this in the DF-21 Feedback forum.

Please do not send files via email. If the above methods have failed, post details of your system setup and the size and type of the file you are trying to upload in the Feedback Forum, and wait for instructions.
