The Jedi Crystal
Sincebefore the time of the Old Republic, there had been rumors of a fabled crystal thatgranted any living holding it power surpassing that of a Jedi Master. For awhile, this was considered just a legend, but a recent discovery may proveotherwise. An ancient temple was found on a once forgotten world when Imperialscouts did a scanner sweep of the area. This sparked immediate interest of theinfamous General Merrik Yvakk, a man obsessed with ancient mythology. But thisnew discovery has not only struck the interest of the Empire, but also manysmuggler groups that want to use the power to hold better control over theirterritories.
Therebel high command, while doubting the crystalÕs existence, have decided toincorporate the skills of Kyle Katarn and Jan Ors to find out if the legendsare true, and if so, stop the Imperial General at all costs. Katarn, meanwhile,was on leave and relaxing on Dantooine. The mission didnÕt set any interest inhim, until he heard who the officer was controlling this expedition, upon whichKatarn quickly left the planet in persuit.
Andso KatarnÕs latest quest has begun, but many questions have been leftunanswered: Does the crystal really exist? And just what is the relationbetween Kyle and Merrick?
