Escape from Mos Eisley

Author(s): Richard Snodgrass

Plot
You are Han Solo, and have just entered the Red Talon Saloon for a drink of their best Corellian stock. Unfortunately, there's a price on your head, and bounty hunters and stormtroopers are out to get you. You need to make your way back to the Falcon, and get out of there.

Review
"Chewie, get us out of here!"
The author calls this a mini-level, and he's right; this mission is incredibly short. But that doesn't for one instant stop you from enjoying it anyway. I can't tell for sure whether this is the same encounter as in Star Wars, but it's very similar, and just as much fun. The Saloon looks great, and the author has thought of lots of neat little ideas to keep things interesting. And the Falcon is really well done. It appears the author took his design ideas from some schematics. He incorporates all kinds of details, right down to the Sabacc cards on the bar.

I suppose I could wish for some new sounds to accompany it. It just doesn't seem right to run down the corridor to the cockpit without screaming "Chewie, get us out of here!" and hearing the engines roar to life. Some new stuff would have been nice and have helped to make the experience even better.

Overall
90%It's not big, it's not incredible, it really doesn't have much new to offer. But it's also a lot of fun, and really well designed. Beware: it's addictive, and once you try it, you'll want to go back and do it again.
