Born on Dantooine just before the Imperials overran the city trying to find the Rebels, they were displeased with the situation and killed all the people there. Fortunately for Obi-Wan his Jedi instincts did not fail and he hid from them just in time, but his parents did die in the elimination of Dantooine. After a scout of Rebel Soldiers came by to see if there were any survivors, found Obi and took him into there own to train him to fight the war. Late in his 20's, after fighting many battles he thereby found himself escorting some Jedi's across the galaxy and they felt the force within him, it was strong. Once back from the mission they appoached Obi-Wan and told him about his "gift", he promptly dismissed them, but thought about it, and finally gave in and went to see the council. They tested him and found him to be of pure heart and without fear, he was then trained to be a jedi. A Jedi he well be, a Jedi he will always be.
