For the most up-to-date information, please visit http://goldeneyemod.tripod.com ======================================================= Sections: 1) Introduction 2) How to Install 3) The 8-bit Patch 4) The Secrets 5) The Map ======================================================= 1) Introduction The GoldenEye Bunker is a multiplayer level for Jedi Knight 1 (NOT Jedi Outcast!). The main level design is based on the multiplayer version of the Bunker level from GoldenEye 64. The architecture and textures were meant to look almost exactly the same as on the N64. Please note that this level uses 16-bit textures, so refer to section 3 of this instructions booklet. Also, there are at least 2 secrets in this level, so make sure you spend more time trying to find them - they're really fun! For more information, screenshots, and the Bunker music for the GoldenEye Mod, check out http://goldeneyemod.tripod.com This level works with any mod (GoldenEye Mod recommended), or with no mods at all. 2) How to Install the Level After you have unzipped the zip file, put bunker.gob into your Jedi Knight\Episode folder (the default directory is C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Jedi Knight\Episode). If you are hosting a multiplayer game, launch Jedi Knight and select GoldenEye Bunker from the list of levels in the multiplayer menu. 3) The 8-bit Patch The GoldenEye Bunker level uses 16-bit textures, and requires a 3D card that supports these in order to view them properly. If you encounter obvious texture problems while playing Bunker, you do not have a 3D card that supports 16-bit textures. In this case, you will need to download the Bunker's 8-bit Patch to fix it. This patch is also compatible when playing with other players who may not be using the patch. However, you will ONLY need this 8-bit Patch if you do not have a 3D card that supports 16-bit textures, because the included 16-bit textures look better. Get the 8-bit Patch at http://goldeneyemod.tripod.com/download.html 4) The Secrets Unlike the GoldenEye Mod, this level's secrets do not require guns clicking and flashlights activating. Instead, the key to finding secrets in this level is to solve riddles that come up, such as when you attempt Bunker 1 Objective 5. (hint hint) The second secret does not use riddles, and I will give no hints here because it is not that hard to figure out. (This is not a hint) There are also some other fun little features. IMPORTANT: If you find out any of the secrets, fell free to tell your friends. However, please do NOT post the secrets on Massassi.net or on any other sites/forums. 5) The Map Those who have played GoldenEye 64 before should find this level's layout very familiar, but those who have not played the N64 version might appreciate a map. Go to http://goldeneyemod.tripod.com/map.html to see a map of the level. ======================================================= All contents of this document are by ID_Junkguy and ID_Matt GoldenEye Bunker and this document are (c) copyright 2001-2003 ID_Junkguy and ID_Matt
