JKMAG Manowar Sect News


Tuesday, September 8    OK, I know, you're thinking how terrible it is for you that you faithfully check this page EVERY DAY looking for something to read, and Tark has stiffed you again (anyone know where that paticular expression comes from? if so don't tell me). Well, I'm thinking no one reads this anyway, and hey, I saw Major League, ok? I know my rights.

STILL reading? kewl. Well the member list has FINALLY been updated so check out the new additions. The JKMAG main list is now alphabetized, but the sects will remain as they are, so you can see who to add in your sect.

scratc scratch Well, that leaves us with UM2. When is it coming out? Well, I am a LITTLE tee'd about the lack of response, so does anyone want to help me track down the authors? Odds are my email server is whacked. Also, I'm soon going to need beta testers, and I mean dedicated beta testers, because there will be a LOT to beta test. As you should know, UM2 is not only one BAD-ASS level pack, but includes Manowar 2 in its entirety, as well as new weapons. So as you can see, beta testing will be rather important.

We're back, hurrah hurrah! And guess what? STILL NO MANOWAR NEWS!! Well, maybe a little. This this little broom closet of the web is going to be the host of the official web site of Manowar 3. And UM2 STILL hasn't gotten any author permissions.

Friday, August 7    Sorry to leave you all hanging, but the truck's still rolling behind the scenes. The Ultimate Manowar 2 (UM2) episode is more or less ready pending author permissions, and thanks go out to those of you who helped me beta-test it. There is still one round yet to go.

If you haven't already, go express your opinions about Manowar 3 features, there is an interesting thread running over at jknet.

Last, there is a new mod which seems to condense Manowar 2 into a single patch with a few changes here and there. As far as I'm concerned it is virtually interchangeable with Manowar, so you can play it for this sect but you surely don't have to, it's pretty rough around the edges. I do recommend checking it out, it may give us ideas for Manowar 3. The mod is dubbed Mandalorian Battle Armor.


Monday, July 20    So there isn't any Manowar news right now, sue me 8oP. Well a little, I fixed some things up on this and the other sects, mostly to to deal with browser differences.

And it has happened to me again. First the JK Gangstas beat me to the punch when they released Infiltrate! Yeah that's right, I had the EXACT same idea in detail (and no I've never played Quake). Now, the Jedi Knight Adventure & Roleplaying Group has stolen my idea for converting the JK, actually the MotS engine to a roleplaying game! Yes, that's right! Man, you will be blown away by all the features. There is already a demo on their site of the conversation module, which is utterly amazing...and there are other things in the JK engine I never dreamed of...like the ability to use ANY weapon as a melee weapon, and making it so if you get hit REAL hard you can fall down, and possibly even pass out. Wow. Well it ain't Manowar, but I had to share this somewhere hehe.


Thursday, July 16    Another quick note, yours truly is an official part of the Manowar 3 team! Azlon has asked me to write a MotS level, and I'll take it from there. I haven't decided what the level will BE yet exactly, so if you have an idea that's just too good for me to pass up, lay it on me.

Monday, July 13    Here is what Azlon tells me about Manowar 3:

Mandalorians will have no force most likely, so there you have it. The Jedi have their force power, and they will need it due to the fact that as of now, only the Mandalorians will have the Jet Pack. And the new Mandalorian class I have done will have a teleporter. I guess now we will see who really is the most powerful, the Jedi or the Mandalorians ;-)
COOL! It's good to see that the MotS port of this great mod will support the class system, and how. He had a little more to say about some new gadgets, but he doesn't want to go public just yet, given the cut-throat nature of this industry, hehe.

IMO we need someone to write out a full Manowar strategy guide (please don't make me do it hehe), this mod is RIPE! But in the meantime, check out this brief guide right here, by Janx. Mostly if you're new.


Saturday, July 11    Just a quickie for ya...you know and love Covert Cove, by Kurt. Word is, he has created yet another Manowar level. I'll have it in your hands as soon as it's in mine. Is that cool or what? Hmm? You still can't get enough Manowar levels? Well, Azlon and I have started talking about an official Manowar level pack! That's right, why should we be the only sect without one? Mail me your comments, the message board is still broken 8o(


Thursday, July 9    You can sign up now, the link can be found on the main sect page. Other than that there's nothing new hehe, just be advised that the message board still doesn't work. If you think you can help with that I'm all ears.


Tuesday, July 7    Well, welcome to the brand-spanking-new Manowar Sect! So far there's not too much to be said, as nothing is really *up* yet. Pretty soon, every JKMAGger will be asked to fill out a survey, and signing up for this sect will be one of the options, including the ladder. For pete's sake, go download Manowar 2 if you haven't already, and start practicing... the MANOWAR TOURNAMENT is not that far away!
