I don't consider this to be illegal (I wouldn't have even thought of releasing it to the public if I did), because not only are they edited almost beyond recognition, but these textures have been distributed freely in both JK and MotS demos.... To clear things up, it is not illegal to bring in a texture from MoTS as long as you meet a certain requirement.
That requirement is that at least 66% of the original image be changed. If you had made everything on the image just look better, than that should be sufficient 66%. Now the textures are legal property of yours.
Im almost positive thats accurate, because graphic designers for advertising companies reuse a lot of material, and they told me that 66% is the legal ammount after they sell something then resell it.

Normally its a good idea to encourage authors to make sure their work is at their best before releasing it, but with JO out, authors are still discovering more things to do to stuff.
If you've skinned in JK, and then look at the textures in JO, you will be very overwhelmed at the detail involved. The texture of the leather on the trainers pants is unbeleivable. So working against that while people are finding out better ways to make things more realistic now, I wouldnt mind so much as long as we are getting a better version in the long run.

I saw a SotW on TACC which showed you making progress on a MotS ToaM 3, but I guess your move to JO would be wise. Will TACC ever start posting JO levels? I think this is a sad skin and I'm disapointed you havent released more stuff. I guess youve just fallen behind in the times.
