Code of Honour
Code of Honour

1. Fairplay. This means that no cheats whatsoever are allowed when being a member of ORJ. This includes the use of cheats (eg. ber), hacks, cogs, builds, and all other modifications (no matter how harmless) of the original JK or SBX game data.

2. Fun. This means that you will always do your best to have a good game that is fun for everybody involved. Be nice and sportive. It is important that you can take a beating with a smile. You will only learn from it. A good sense of humour is possibly the best characteristic of the Jedi, and certainly for a member of ORJ. Do not brag about your skills, it automatically implies that you are putting others down.
Don't be overly concerned with winning. Players who have some kind of obsession with becoming or being 'elite' tend to become frustrated when they loose, or cocky when they win...
This is a good example of
' There is no passion, there is Serenity '.

3. True to the Light Side. If someone is making you mad, stay calm. Don't swear. ' There is no emotion, there is Peace '.
Just politely ask him to stop. Also, keep your cool when encountering (supposed) hackers or cheaters. (This was a very hard lesson for me ;-)
Do not accuse people of hacking without actual proof.
' There is no ignorance, there is Knowledge '.

Stay cool. For example; if someone Force Pushes you off a platform while you're standing there doing nothing, don't retaliate! By not reacting aggressively you give the good example. You are a Jedi, and the Force is never used for attack. As a Jedi, you are above that kind of cheap reaction. Also, taking revenge can start the possibly endless cycle of 'an eye for an eye' ..."he started it".... etc. Being Light side also includes that you may never attack someone who doesn't have a weapon, or an activated saber. (Saber off = PEACE!)

4. Honourable (Non-Cheap). Cheap behaviour can ruin a good game, your reputation and your clan's.
If you like to play dirty go look somewehere else.

For example, while Force Push is quite a fun power to use, overusing it will certainly annoy almost everyone. The same goes for Force Blind. All Force powers are allowed, but none are to be overused. (With the exception of Force Saber Throw ;-) Other examples are: using only the lightstaff (double-bladed lightsaber) or the long lightsaber is considered cheap as well. Again the rule is: you can use all the sabers, but don't use JUST the bigger ones. And of course the cheapest thing you can do is running for health or shields in the middle of a fight.
Another example of cheap behaviour is this. At the start of a duel, when your opponent has activated his saber, and you haven't yet, don't walk up to him and switch it on 'in his face', or worse, saberthrow him from saber-off-status. That is very, very cheap. Make sure your opponent knows that you are ready to fight. In ORJ, it is good conduct to kneel before a duel, then switch saber on to signal that the fight may start.

Last but not least there are the exploits, like Super-Push. (Doing multiple pushes to create the effect of one extremely powerful push.) Super-Push is outlawed.  Other outlawed exploits are combinations that take advantage of lag and packethandling, such as the combination of Force Speed and Saber-Throw. Force-Speed + Saberthrow is very cheap and almost impossible to evade because you simply can't see it coming, especially when lag is bad.

5. Saberist. Of course, the lightsaber is the weapon of choice for a Jedi, although we gun for fun sometimes, it's good practice! But if you prefer gunning over sabering then join a gunsquad, not a Jedi clan. After all, we play Saber Battle X for a reason!
Back to Main

1. NEVER attack an opponent with his saber off
(this includes kicking and punching as well as Force Pushing).

2. Make sure that you clearly
signal when you are ready to duel.
Face your opponent, kneel down or bow head, then switch saber on.

3. Always
follow the rules of the person who is hosting the game. If you don't like it, just leave.

4.
Don't just walk around with saber on, accidents will happen, plus anyone may attack you.
A saber should be off at all times, unless you have a real need for it.
When talking, switch it off, lest you want to get killed while you are busy typing.

5.
Play fair. If it's serious duelling and you accidentally happen to make a kill that shouldn't have been made,
it's nice if you kill yourself to even the score. (Press talk button, then <tab> then type: kill <enter>
If you didn't kill but only hurt someone while you shouldn't have,
heal him (hold down heal key and target him) and apologize.

6.
Don't heal! In duelling it is, more often than not, custom to not heal during the fight.
It is the only fair way to measure skill. However, there is an exception to this:
When engaged in a Full Force duel with a Dark Jedi (or Sith) who uses the whole range of Dark Powers,
ORJ allows you to heal. Otherwise you would be fighting an opponent who has 4 powers that can directly damage you, and you would be forced to use one power less (healing). Note that Force Throw damage cannot be absorbed for instance, so you need healing to make up for all that direct damage.

NEVER run for revives or armor in the middle of a fight, that is really too cheap.

7. In Bridge/Pillar-Duels, don't use Saberthrow or Force-Push. These powers are too hard to evade in more confined duelling places.
