Internet Relay Chat (IRC)

Currently the most popular way to meet up with JK players and play games. Games are organized via chat, and then the host will provide his or her IP address, to which players can join.

  • irc.gamesurge.net #jk
  • irc.synirc.net #jkhub

How to Join Games on IRC

  1. Obtain the host's IP address.
  2. Start Jedi Knight.
  3. On the Players menu, Choose your player profile, and click OK
  4. At the Main Jedi Knight menu, click Multiplayer.
  5. In the Multiplayer menu, click Join Game.
  6. In the Choose a Network Provider page, Select "Internet TCP/IP Connection for DirectPlay" and click OK.
  7. The Locate Session dialog box will come up. Enter the host's IP address, and click OK (Tip: The easiest thing to do is to copy the host's IP, and paste it).
  8. Jedi Knight will now search for games at the provided address. Allow 30 seconds for the host's game to show up. If you cannot find the host's game after 30 seconds, you(or the host) may have a router or firewall that is blocking the connection. Refer to the Jedi Knight and Mysteries of the Sith Support Forum for more assistance.
