The Onardo Gambit (my fourth level) is the first level that I'm creating for release. This MOTS single player episode will take you on a mission to a secluded Imperial research station. Not so Frequently Asked Questions
My first unreleased level December 2000 is when I started learning level editing for the Lucas Arts Star Wars PC games Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II and Mysteries of the Sith. Here are several shots of my first two attempts. My second unreleased level

NEWS
October 31 -- After some time away from editing (work and 2 week vacation) am back building. Currently I'm working on the canyon upstream from the tower. Made a nice lair for some nasty Vornskr (think big mountain lion) and am implementing a new (undisclosed) feature in the objectives. Now building a second route out of the canyon.

September -- Well, I made a modular set of columns for the landing pad but this made the framerate and detail HOM worse. So, I rebuilt the east side of the tower from sector architecture and cleaved out the columns and landing pad. Framerate is acceptable now. Did some preliminary lighting of the columns and it looks cool.

August -- Using a portion of GBK's TVTCS system. His set of cogs will allow me to continue building level without hitting thing limit, thus avoiding splitting level in two. Yay!!

July -- Cleared out the outdoor terrain and am redoing the east side of the tower in an attempt to improve framerate and reduce Detail HOM. Making the landing complex out of a series of 3DOs instead.

June 12 20:38 EST -- Ryan has posted my New Featured Level: The Onardo Gambit. By chance it was posted last, at the top of the TACC news page. Started working with cutscene cogging in preparation for using them in my level's storyline.

May -- More designing and building of the T9 level which has now been named: "The Onardo Gambit". I submitted a feature on the level to The Admirals Command Chamber. Later note: my TACC Showcase forum post had 216 views and gave a big peak in traffic.

April -- Finished revamping this website to utilize server side includes.

29 March 2002, Friday -- Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast is released!
Received my copy in the mail from Lucas Arts. Too bad my 1998 PC isn't up to the job of playing it. One more incentive for a new one.

March -- Bought a copy of the original Dark Forces, the DOS game with a 2D engine that simulates a 3D environment. This is where Kyle Katarn had his start. The game is quaint but challenging as well, and is giving me additional ideas for my MOTS editing.

25, 26 February -- My website had its highest daily traffic to date when I posted the preview Room with a view of my T9 level at the Massassi Temple. I should post more often!

February -- Renewed work on T9. On February 10th, my next level idea was born; its working name is Rystal, and will use skyboxes created by me using the Terragen terrain generation program. As a by-product of this I will be creating a skybox tutorial and prefab skyboxes. I pre-ordered my copy of Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and also bought the nice hooded sweatshirt from Lucas Arts.

January 2002 -- Tried without success of getting a new 3D acceleration card to be compatible with my home PC (1998). At least I now have a larger hard drive to work with.

December 2001 -- More work on T9.

September to October -- Slow but sure progress on T9. Updated website.

July to August 2001 -- Work on the T9 level.

May 2001 -- Updating style of website and posted COGs.

March to May 2001 -- Continuing work on my first level - T9.

February 2001 -- Constructing these web pages.

December 2000 -- Started using JED. Had a practice level for architecture, new mats, new 3DOs and new COGs. Started creating what has become the T9 level. Also played around with a forested level using skyboxes.

I want to extend a huge thanks to all the folks at The Massassi Temple; they have great resources and assistance through their tutorials and forums. Visit them for more information and links for the JED level editor (screenshot) and other programs and websites. They also have a wide range of levels and other addons you can download. Kudos also to The Admiral's Command Chamber for another great set of reviews on released single player levels. The reviews are great for learning the art of level design. But above all, download a bunch of levels and play them! Unfortunately, there is no warning on the addictions of creating and playing add-on levels.   green smiley
